ADMISSION---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Admittance to professionnal training is subjected to one audition:
- an evaluation of knowledge in jazz dancing (a relative ignorance in jazz dancing is not
penalizing if knowledge in classical or contemporary dancing can be taken into account)
- artistic aptitudes
- physical criteria (the instrument of a dancer is its body...)
- an interview related to motivation and targets
Considering demands from candidates geographgically very distant from one another, three formulas are avaible:
- audition on appointment, with the artistic director and the trainer in charge of pedagogy,
at any moment of the year
- audition during the summer workshop (5 days on the beginning of august)
- video in case of extreme distance
TRAINING---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meaning that today the intention is to train artists capable of dealing with auditions with a minimum of unexpected events, pluri-discipline is the key word.

+ Choreography and improvisation

+ Cabaret and Revue (training with high heels, cancan, playback...)
+ Approach to an audition (outfit, expressivity, behavior...))
+ Jazz dancing and musicals history
+ Research of documents (books and videos of the ESDSA)
+ Préparation to the JAZZ EAT
